Empty Stocking Fund to Accept Applications
The Empty Stocking Fund is set to take applications on Thursday, aiming to support local families in need during Christmas.
For one local mother of four, Stephanie Hall, the fund was a lifeline last year. As a single mother, she struggled to make ends meet and provide for her children, aged 10, 8, 5, and 1.
“With me doing everything by myself as a single mother, and paying all the bills by myself, I really don’t have any money left over,”
Hall said. The Empty Stocking Fund helped her provide Christmas presents for her children, bringing joy and a sense of accomplishment to their holiday season.
Without the fund, Hall's family would have faced a bleak Christmas. Instead, she encourages other families to apply, saying
“the help is there”.
Applications will be accepted on Thursday, offering a chance for families in need to receive support during the holiday season.
