Two Men Face Weapons Charges After Traffic Stop in Simcoe

A traffic stop in Simcoe led to cannabis and weapons charges against two Norfolk County residents.

On November 3, a Norfolk OPP officer investigated a report of a suspicious person near Lee Avenue and Norris Street. The officer's Automated Licence Plate Recognition system alerted them to a nearby vehicle.

During the stop, a crossbow and firearm were found inside the vehicle. Both men were arrested, and a search resulted in the seizure of dried cannabis and other cannabis products.
