Rob Edwards, the Middlesbrough boss, is now the favorite to become the next manager of Wolves after Gary O'Neil withdrew from the process.
O'Neil, who was previously sacked by the West Midlands club, had been expected to make a return but
decided against the move, according to The Athletic.
With O'Neil out of the running, the market has been reopened, and Edwards, a former Wolves player, now leads the odds. His Boro side is currently second in the Sky Bet Championship table.
