Protesters in San Francisco Stake Out Immigration Court
In San Francisco, a group of protesters gathered on Sansome Street on October 7, hoping to prevent ICE arrests. The protesters, some wearing kaffiyeh and goggles, sat on the sidewalk and milled around the building that houses the city's immigration court.
“It’s usually hours and hours of doing nothing until something happens,”
said one of the protesters, a professional musician who lives close to the city. The protesters' goal is to prevent ICE arrests and show support for the immigrant community.
