Gangrape of Odisha Medical Student in Durgapur
Three people have been arrested and one detained in connection with the gangrape of a second-year medical student from Odisha in Durgapur.
The West Bengal Police identified the arrested accused as Apu Bauri (21), Firdos Sekh (23), and Sekh Reajuddin (31), and the detained individual as Sheikh Sofiqul, all of whom are locals.
The accused will be produced before the court today, according to reports.
The incident has been condemned by the Odisha CM and the BJP, with the NCW meeting the survivor.
