Editor on Trial Over Satire
Zimbabwe Independent editor Faith Zaba's trial begins in Harare, following accusations of "undermining the authority of the President" due to a satirical piece published on June 27.

The satirical piece was published in the Independent's Muckraker column, known for lampooning Zimbabwe's political establishment.
The Prosecutor-General's office issued a certificate authorising prosecution on Wednesday, setting the trial in motion.
