Liverpool have been backed to loan Florian Wirtz out in January, with the potential next club being considered an upgrade.
Wirtz became the most expensive signing in British football history over the summer, joining Liverpool for £116m (£100m plus £16m in add-ons), although he held this record for just over a month before Alexander Isak (£125m) took the mantle.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance, Wirtz has not been firing on all cylinders, with a return of zero goals and three assists in 13 matches across all competitions.
There is a case to be made for those on the end of the chances he creates letting Wirtz down.
