Christopher Husbands, serving a life sentence for manslaughter, has applied for parole six years after being found guilty.
Husbands was convicted of killing two people, Ahmed Hassan, 24, and Nixon Nirmalendran, 22, and nearly killing a 13-year-old boy in a mall shooting at the Eaton Centre food court in 2012.
How quickly time flies — even for a killer who has two victims on his resume, and very nearly a third young teen as well.
A parole hearing is scheduled for later this month. Husbands had sent 14 bullets flying in the busy food court, driven by revenge and without concern for others caught in the gunfire.
Author's summary: Christopher Husbands applies for parole after six years.
