PostMag writer Fionnuala McHugh has lived a life free of clutter – and feels all the better for it.

The dining room alone boasted a Sargent, a Cézanne, a Vuillard, and a Degas. During their lunch, Fionnuala McHugh noted that they dined "under a Monet" with the paintings surrounding them.

He was also, according to a London gallery owner, “the last civilised collector”.

Author's summary: Living a life free of clutter brings better feelings.
