DJI's First Robot Vacuum Range Hits Europe
DJI has introduced ROMO, a robot vacuum line that utilizes its drone technology at floor level, rolling out in select European markets.
The key feature of ROMO is its millimetre-level obstacle sensing, which can dodge 2mm cables and even playing cards.
- Dual fisheye vision and wide-angle solid-state LiDAR work together with machine learning to see under sofas and navigate in low light.
- It uses DJI's mapping technology to plan tighter routes with fewer missed spots.
- The robot vacuum can sneak close to table legs and corners while avoiding obstacles like socks and spills.
ROMO also boasts powerful suction, rated up to 25,000 Pa with airflow to 20 litres per second, and slows its wheels and side brush when encountering cat litter to avoid scattering it.
The cleaning hardware features twin high-torque roller brushes that feed debris into a hollow centre to lift hair, dust, and bigger bits without tangles.
