The Austrian HS Timber Group has agreed to acquire 100% of Swedish wood processor Malå Såg AB from Setra Group AB.
The sawmill adds 340,000 m3 of annual sawn timber capacity to the Austrian group's portfolio in Northern Europe.
Malå Såg sources softwood logs from sustainably managed Swedish forests and sells its products globally.
The company plays a key role in the regional value chain by supplying materials to the pulp industry and local bio-energy producers.
Founded in 1946, Malå Såg will reach an annual production capacity of 340,000 m3 of kiln-dried and further processed sawn timber upon completion of its current investment program.
