Rep. Marcus Wiedower Resigns from Georgia House
Marcus Wiedower, a Republican from Watkinsville, announced his resignation from the Georgia General Assembly to focus on a growing business opportunity with Hillpointe, where he serves as vice president of external affairs.
A special election will be held this December to fill his seat, although the exact date has not been announced yet. Wiedower represented District 121 in the state legislature, covering south Athens, Watkinsville, and portions of Oconee County.
