Alleged Poisoning of Nigerian Lady
Shock and anger have trailed reports from Edo State that a 20-year-old woman, Sarah Aghahowa, was allegedly poisoned by her stepmother shortly after securing admission to study Nursing.
Sarah had reportedly gained admission into the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor. The tragic incident was said to have occurred on Thursday in Jemilla community, near Ramat Park along the Benin-Agbor Road in Benin City.
A mob of residents could be seen attempting to hold the alleged culprit accountable in a viral video. Reports of the incident have since spread across social media, with some users alleging that Sarah’s late mother had also faced similar persecution in the past.
According to reports, the alleged poisoning occurred shortly after Sarah gained admission.
