The federal judiciary has distributed interim guidance on artificial intelligence, allowing for the use of the technology while addressing procurement and security concerns.
According to Judge Robert J. Conrad, Director of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, an AI task force developed the guidance, which was distributed to federal courts on July 31.
The guidance is a temporary measure while the courts work on more permanent guidance, but it allows courts to explore the technology in the meantime.
