Mainers can expect updates on various stories today, including the commemoration of shooting victims and the purchase of a new ambulance in Waterville.
A new sculpture, titled "Forget ME Not", will debut next month at LA Arts to commemorate the victims of the 2023 Lewiston mass shooting.
"I'm hoping that they feel seen and that we respected their process of loss,"
said artist Jen McDermott. The sculpture includes imagery and different art mediums to convey grief, loss, trauma, resilience, commemoration, and hope.
Waterville officials have decided to buy a new ambulance and hire four new fire-emergency medical services workers for approximately $500,000.
