Rebecca Orwin Discusses Her Debut Novel

Rebecca Orwin's debut middle-grade novel, The Monsters at the End of the World, was acquired by Puffin in a six-figure deal.

Orwin shares her experience, saying

“It didn’t feel very real,”
when she landed the deal. Her novel will be published in January, featuring illustrations by Oriol Vidal.

A book-lover and fan of Jonathan Stroud and Philip Pullman, Orwin studied Creative Writing and pursued her author dreams alongside a day job. She notes that

“You need the hard work, you need the talent but you also need that little bit of luck.”
