RedEarth Announces V2G Charger Price
RedEarth Energy Storage has announced that pre-orders for its 11kW three-phase vehicle-to-grid electric vehicle charger will start in November, with a recommended retail price of $9,990 ex GST.
The company, based in Queensland, will produce the bi-directional EV chargers of German company Ambibox at its factory in Darra, making it one of the first Australian companies to adopt vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.
This announcement follows the introduction of new federal standards that will pave the way for V2G technology in Australia, allowing EVs to be used as "batteries on wheels" and offering potential benefits to both consumers and the grid.
