The domes on the river are a busy place. They were spared damage from the flooding San Juan River due to sound local engineering work and architectural design.
The design raised the ground level by 10 feet, and grant funding paid for the foundational and infrastructure work. Maintenance work is also underway, with replacement of polycarbonate panels damaged by hail and new sealing tape.
Visitors can observe the updates by taking a turn on the Riverwalk and stopping by the domes, where they will notice the new entry ways and tight sealing.
They were spared damage from the flooding San Juan River, not by luck, but by sound local engineering work and architectural design.
