Oneohtrix Point Never, led by Daniel Lopatin, has announced a new album titled Tranquilizer, set to be released digitally on November 17 and physically on November 21 via Warp.
The album is preceded by the release of three tracks: "For Residue," "Bumpy," and "Lifeworld."
“It’s a record shaped by commercial audio construction kits from a bygone era—an index of cliches turned inside out,”
Lopatin said of Tranquilizer, adding that
“It is a return to a process-oriented form of music making for me that I felt best evoked a certain kind of madness and ennui in the heart of culture today.”
Tranquilizer follows the 2023 Oneohtrix Point Never album Again and Lopatin's recent work scoring the new Josh Safdie film Marty Supreme.
