Trump Commutes George Santos' Prison Sentence
President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he is commuting the prison sentence of former Congressman George Santos.
In a social media post, Trump explained that he considered the case of Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal, who falsely claimed to be a Vietnam veteran.
George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time and, by all accounts, has been horribly mistreated.
Trump also noted that Santos "had the Courage, Conviction, and Intelligence to ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN!"
The decision was made out of pity, with Trump stating that Santos was "horribly mistreated".
