Ukraine's Energy and Gas Supplies Under Attack
Ukraine continues to receive energy and gas supplies despite the Russian army's retaliatory strikes on its energy system and gas infrastructure.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports that the Russian army is targeting the country's energy facilities in response to massive attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Russia.
- Strikes were reported in three areas: Donbass, Odessa, and Chernihiv.
- A hit on DTEK power facilities in Belgorod-Dniester was confirmed by the City Council.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky and Andrei Ermak warned Russia of potential blackouts.
According to Bloomberg, gas production in Ukraine has fallen by 60%, and power plants in the Kiev, Kiev, and Dnipropetrovsk regions have been seriously damaged.
