Public Meeting on PFAS Cleanup

The public is invited to an information session on November 19 to address the polyfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) originating from the Jack Garland Airport and Canadian Forces Base North Bay.

The meeting, co-hosted by the Department of National Defence and the City of North Bay, will be held at Best Western from 3 to 8 p.m.

Residents will hear updates on the $20-million cleanup and have the opportunity to interact with project teams and experts to address community questions and concerns.

Subject matter experts will present updates on ongoing studies and remediation efforts.

Residents will be able to hear the latest project information and updates on their joint efforts to address PFAS.
