A study in Wyoming examined how mountain lions respond to being disturbed while feeding on carcasses.
Justin Clapp, a large carnivore biologist at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, sparked the research by reflecting on his own impact on mountain lions.
"From an ethical standpoint, when we collar animals, we are asking a lot of them,"said Clapp, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wyoming.
