Raytheon Increases LTAMDS Production
Raytheon is investing $53 million in new production facilities to meet growing demand for the LTAMDS radar.
The LTAMDS radar is designed to enhance air and missile defense capabilities against hypersonic threats, including Russia's Kinzhal missiles.
- 23,000 square feet of new production facilities
- Dozens of inquiries about the new radar received
- First contract covers 12 units for Poland
Company representatives told Defense News about the received inquiries and the first contract.
The system has received approval from the U.S. Army for small-scale production and is undergoing testing, including operational testing in Guam.
