Ortonville in Spotlight for Minnesota Governor's Pheasant Hunt Opener
Hunters in blaze orange gathered on public lands surrounding Ortonville in western Minnesota for the 13th annual pheasant-hunting opener event, hosted by the DNR, Explore Minnesota, and the Governor's Office.
According to Gov. Walz,
"We were pheasant hunters, not deer hunters, pheasant and grouse,"regarding his outdoor experience.
The event is an annual festivity that holds special meaning for the Governor.
