Yamaha Motor Europe announces the departure of FIM MXGP rider Jago Geerts after a successful eight-year partnership.
Geerts began his professional motocross career with the Hans Corvers led Kemea Yamaha team in 2018, finishing eighth overall and was awarded ‘Rookie of the Year.’
In 2019, he stood on the podium seven times, was one of only three race winners that season and secured the MX2 World Championship bronze medal at the final round.
Across the next four seasons (2020–2023), Geerts consistently fought for the MX2 world title aboard a Factory YZ250FM.
