Peruvian Gymnast Wins Gold at South American Championship
A young Peruvian gymnast, Antonella Belén Rocha Muñoz, won the gold medal at the South American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship in Bolivia in September 2025.
Rocha had been working towards this moment since she was 6 years old. Before competing, she
prayed to God, placing everything in His handsand decided to enjoy the moment, finding a balance between nerves and excitement.
Her strategy paid off, as she won the gold medal for Peru in the senior duo category. On the podium, singing Peru's national anthem, Rocha felt
deep pride and relief, and appreciation for God.
