Robert Irwin's Emotional Dance Dedication
Robert Irwin, a 21-year-old wildlife conservationist, dedicated his dance to all mothers and anyone experiencing grief after loss on "Dancing with the Stars" dedication night.
The dance was a tribute to his mom, Terri Irwin, and included emotions of grief over the loss of his late father, Steve Irwin.
"It was really hard to express that and really hard to actually get through a dance while internally you’re processing and getting all of these emotions out there,"
Robert said backstage, describing the challenge of performing the emotional contemporary dance.
The dance ended with Terri joining her son on stage, leaving the audience and judges, including Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba, in tears.
