Witch Slapped Metaphysical Store to Close
Witch Slapped, a metaphysical store on North Street in Pittsfield, will close its doors on October 31 due to financial strains and rising tensions downtown, according to owner Danielle Munn.
The store, which was open for over three years, served as a refuge for the city's unhoused and struggling residents, offering "mutual aid" such as potluck meals and access to a fresh bathroom.
