New CT scan machine in Labasa still not being used as power upgrade yet to be done

New CT Scan Machine in Labasa Remains Unused

Labasa Hospital has not provided CT scan services for two years due to inadequate power supply for the new machine.

A new CT scan machine is sitting idle at the hospital, awaiting a power upgrade. In July, Labasa resident Vinesh Prakash sought clarity from the Ministry of Health on the machine's non-operational status.

When I took a patient, I was told that the machine is not operational because EFL is not supplying them enough power.

The Hospital Administrator reported that electrical upgrading is in progress, with the Ministry of Works yet to complete phase one.

Urgent action is needed to address the issue and restore CT scan services at the hospital.

Author's summary: Labasa Hospital's new CT scan machine remains unused due to power supply issues.
