UK Leads Polar Climate Change Research as US Withdraws
The UK's flagship polar research vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, will arrive at Rothera Research Station in Antarctica by late November to support dozens of climate change-related science projects.
The £200 million vessel, launched in 2020, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a helipad and laboratories, and will aid research on topics such as underwater tsunamis, glacier melt, and whale populations.
