The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has been awarded a federal grant of $1,361,820 to support under-resourced students pursuing education degrees.
The grant, from the U.S. Department of Education, will fund the TRIO Teacher Preparation Student Support Services (T-SSS) project, housed within UNLV's Dr. Sullivan Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach.
"We are thrilled to receive this funding and to expand our support for students preparing to become the next generation of educators."
According to Zhanna Aronov, UNLV Associate Vice President for Retention and Outreach, this initiative will provide necessary support for future teachers.
