A multi-agency search for a missing person was conducted over the weekend, utilizing drones and other technology.
The search involved the Pennington County Sheriff's Office, Pennington County Search and Rescue, Rockerville Volunteer Fire Department, South Dakota Highway Patrol, and the U.S. Forest Service.
"Luckily at the end, as we all know, it all worked out and the suspect was found unharmed and healthy, so that was good,"
said Casey Kenrick, a patrol lieutenant with the Pennington County Sheriff's Office.
Kenrick noted that manpower can be an issue in search scenarios, and the Sheriff's Office relies on other organizations like the Pennington County Search and Rescue.
The successful search highlights the importance of partnership between agencies.
