Most areas will be dry by midday, and partial clearing will allow temperatures to climb into the middle to upper 70s.
High temperatures in the lower 80s on Wednesday and Thursday will be followed by lower to middle 80s on Friday.
A powerful cold front will sweep across Kansas on Friday night and Saturday, bringing rain, thunder, and tumbling temperatures.
Temperatures will tumble into the 60s and 70s during the day, and 30s and 40s during the night.
The cool-down will have a short shelf life.
