Rep. Carbajal Blasts Thousands of ‘Needless Federal Layoffs’
In Santa Barbara County, layoffs could impact taxpayers and folks in Section 8 housing.
Last Friday, over 4,000 federal employees at seven government agencies received layoff notices, two weeks after the Trump Administration directed agencies to reduce their workforce.
The government shutdown started on October 1, due to Republican and Democratic lawmakers being gridlocked on funding the federal government, specifically on extending healthcare subsidies.
