Polaris Industries Sells Indian Motorcycle
Indian Motorcycle announced that the company will retain the majority of its team after being sold by Polaris Industries to California-based private equity firm Carolwood LP.
Polaris is confident in Indian Motorcycle’s future success under Carolwood ownership and will maintain a small equity position in the business after the transaction closes.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, with about 900 employees transitioning to the new company at manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake and Monticello, Minnesota, and a design and technology center in Switzerland.
