Three people were seriously injured in a four-vehicle collision on US-24 highway in Riley County, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 8:33 a.m. Monday, about four miles west of Leonardville, near the intersection with Lasita Road.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2013 Nissan Sentra collided with a stopped 2014 Ford Focus, which was pushed into a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer. The Nissan then struck a westbound Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Two others were taken to area hospitals with suspected minor injuries.
