Tiger Woods has undergone his seventh back surgery, a disc replacement, after doctors discovered a collapsed lumbar disc causing severe pain and mobility issues.
“After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with doctors and surgeons to have tests taken,”
Woods wrote on social media, explaining that the scans determined a collapsed disc in L4/5, disc fragments, and a compromised spinal canal, leading him to opt for the disc replacement procedure.
The 49-year-old golfer had the procedure performed in New York, marking his second back surgery in just over a year.
