Christian Horner's Future in F1
Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal, is planning his return to the paddock in 2026 after leaving Red Bull.
Horner was relieved of his duties at Red Bull in September, with the team paying him £80m to terminate his contract, which was set to run until 2030.
He is now looking to take on an ownership role in another team and has been speaking to several potential candidates.
- Alpine are not currently interested in Horner, despite his close relationship with Flavio Briatore.
- Aston Martin are also not planning to make a move for Horner, with the Brit keen to have a stake in his next team.
One option for Horner could be to set up his own F1 team, as the sport allows for 12 teams to be on the grid.
Horner might have to re-think his thoughts as several teams are "falling down" and factory issues emerge.
