#### Weapons Charges in Barrie
Shortly after 5 p.m., Barrie police responded to a home near Yonge Street and Cox Mill Road following reports of a man with a weapon.
Officers located the suspect and recovered a firearm during the arrest. The 38-year-old man from Barrie was charged with multiple firearms-related offences, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
#### Arson Investigation in New Tecumseth
In New Tecumseth, emergency crews were called to a property where a parked vehicle was intentionally set on fire overnight.
Police confirmed that no one was injured. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit continues to investigate and has asked residents with security cameras to review footage taken between midnight and 4 a.m.
