No Suryakumar Yadav as Mandeep Singh names his all-time IPL XI with an RCB legend as impact player

Mandeep Singh picks his all-time IPL XI

Former Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Mandeep Singh has revealed his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI ahead of the 2026 auction, speaking to CricTracker. His selection features several iconic IPL stars, but notably excludes India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav.

Mandeep’s lineup includes some of the most consistent performers in IPL history. For the opening pair, he chose Chris Gayle and David Warner, two of the tournament’s highest run-getters who have dominated with their aggressive style.

In the middle order, he picked Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and MS Dhoni, bringing together leadership, power-hitting, and versatility. Dhoni was named the captain and wicketkeeper of the side.

For the all-rounder positions, Mandeep went with Hardik Pandya and Andre Russell, both celebrated for their ability to change games with bat and ball.

The bowling attack includes Rashid Khan as the lead spinner, supported by pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This combination offers both wicket-taking aggression and control at the death.

Impact player and notable exclusions

Mandeep Singh also named AB de Villiers as his impact player, praising the former RCB legend for his match-winning abilities and adaptability across formats.

Notably, Suryakumar Yadav—one of modern T20 cricket’s most inventive batters—was left out of the side. Mandeep explained that while Suryakumar is a top player of the current generation, he wanted to focus on players who have performed consistently over a longer stretch of the IPL’s history.

“Every player I picked has delivered season after season and shaped the legacy of the IPL,” said Mandeep Singh.
