Free agent center Precious Achiuwa has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. Achiuwa, entering his sixth NBA season, was waived by the Miami Heat ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Achiuwa was selected 20th overall by the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Draft. Over five seasons, he played in 320 regular-season games with the Heat, Raptors, and Knicks, averaging 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
Last season, he appeared in 66 games (10 starts) for the New York Knicks, with averages of 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews reported that several EuroLeague teams had also shown interest in the 26-year-old Achiuwa.
Jones, 25, was in his second season with the Kings, averaging 1.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per game.
Achiuwa's recent move to the Kings marks an important step in his NBA career, with potential opportunities for increased playing time and further development.
