Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle in Proof on Broadway

Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring, playing Claire in the revival of David Auburn’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof. The production will be directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.

Grammy nominee Jin Ha will also return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show will open at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.

About Samira Wiley

A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently appeared on the London stage in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel at the Donmar Warehouse. She previously starred in the National Theatre’s production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.

On television, Wiley is best known for playing Poussey Washington in Netflix’s acclaimed series Orange is the New Black. She also starred in Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, earning an Emmy Award in 2018 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

About Jin Ha

Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly. In 2018, he portrayed Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.

“Proof” returns to Broadway with a powerhouse cast led by Samira Wiley, Jin Ha, Ayo Edebiri, and Don Cheadle.
