Elliot Page describes Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey as "epic and extraordinary." Having previously worked with Nolan on the 2010 film Inception, Page shares how this collaboration now feels richer and more fulfilling.
Many actors aspire to work on a Nolan project, and Page has had the unique opportunity to do so twice. Initially cast in Inception while playing female roles, Page came out as a trans man in 2020. This new chapter brings a deeper connection to their work with Nolan.
“I was so excited to be thought of for it and to be asked to come back to work with him. I loved working with him on Inception and loved being a part of that movie. I was just completely jazzed and excited. I basically went and met with Chris and talked about the part and then sat in a room and read the script, and you know, it was of course a big 'Yes.'”
“Sadly, I can’t say much. But it was such a joy to come back, and to come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable, just waking up every day and going to work. To kind of get to have a more Chris Nolan experience again now, that actually really meant so much to me.”
Page also mentioned the excitement of new experiences during filming:
“I got to go to some pretty awesome places. It’s going to be extraordinary.”
The Odyssey is scheduled for theatrical release on July 17, 2026.
Elliot Page feels a deeper fulfillment working with Nolan again after transitioning, making The Odyssey a personally and professionally transformative project.
