Paul Rodgers of Bad Company will miss Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction to 'prioritize health'

Paul Rodgers to Miss Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Paul Rodgers, original member of the English rock supergroup Bad Company, announced he will not attend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday due to health concerns.

Statement on Health and Performance Plans

Rodgers had intended to perform alongside former bandmate and drummer Simon Kirke at the event. However, he shared in a statement on Bad Company’s Instagram:

“My hope was to be at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health.”

He added:

“I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else. Simon along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me — guaranteed to rock.”

Background on Rodgers' Health

Although Rodgers did not specify the current nature of his health issues, he previously revealed to CBS News in 2023 that he had suffered two major strokes in 2016 and 2019, as well as 11 minor strokes, which briefly robbed him of his speech.

About the Induction Ceremony
