These are the airports that will reduce flights during the government shutdown

Airports Reducing Flights During Government Shutdown

The Federal Aviation Administration has mandated airlines to reduce 10% of flights at 40 of the busiest airports across the United States. The move is intended to ease the workload on air traffic controllers and maintain safety during the ongoing government shutdown.

Major hubs in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago are among those affected. The reduction begins on Friday, following widespread cancellations that started Thursday as airlines responded to the FAA order.

"Travelers should check with their airlines to see if their flight has been cut."

Airports Affected

The flight cuts will gradually take effect starting Friday, with additional airports joining the list as the shutdown continues to impact the nation’s aviation system.
