Sheep Esports presents expert insights and updates from the League of Legends Esports scene. Following the usual tradition after each major event, Romain Bigeard, General Manager of G2 Esports in the LEC, disclosed detailed scrim results from Worlds 2025.
Between October 3rd and their quarterfinal elimination by Top Esports on October 30th, G2 completed an intense scrim schedule. They played 35 scrim blocks, totaling 129 games, achieving a 54.2% winrate with 70 wins and 59 losses.
Examining results against various regions reveals G2's relative comfort and struggles on stage:
"The best-of-one win over BiliBili Gaming in Round 2 is almost G2’s only victory against the LPL, while Invictus Gaming handed them their heaviest defeat in a single scrim block at the very start of their campaign (1–6)."
"By contrast, they’ve performed very well in practice against South Korea."
G2 Esports revealed their scrim struggles mainly against LPL and LTA regions but showed strong preparation versus the LCK leading into Worlds 2025.
