Suspected Burglar Arrested in Laois Thanks to CCTV
A suspected burglar was arrested within hours in Laois following a break-in in Portarlington, with the help of CCTV cameras.
The incident occurred at 4pm on Sunday, October 12, in The Birches development in Kilnacourt Woods, where a male broke into an apartment and caused damage.
According to a Garda spokesperson,
Gardaí were able to view CCTV and the man was arrested on Sunday, and is in custody in Abbeyleix Garda Station.
The suspect is currently being held in custody, while Portlaoise Garda Station is undergoing a multi-million renovation and has no custody facilities.
