Bad Company was honored with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at a ceremony held on Saturday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The induction was presented by Mick Fleetwood, who praised the band during his speech.
Simon Kirke, the founding drummer of Bad Company, took the stage with notable guests for the performance. Chris Robinson from The Black Crowes, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, and Bryan Adams all joined Kirke.
However, matching the legendary vocals of Paul Rodgers, the original Bad Company singer, proved impossible.
“My hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health. I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else.”
Rodgers had to miss the event due to health concerns, announcing his withdrawal a week prior.
After the performance, Kirke accepted the Hall of Fame honor from Fleetwood and paid tribute to Rodgers, calling him one of the greatest singers ever. He also honored late band members Mick Ralphs, who passed away earlier this year, and Boz Burrell, deceased since 2006.
This Hall of Fame induction and collaborative performance highlighted Bad Company's enduring impact and celebrated their legacy, honoring both current and past members.
