The Minnesota Wild (5-7-3) are on the road to face the New York Islanders (6-5-2) tonight. The projected starting goaltenders for the game have been announced.

Minnesota Wild Goaltending

Jesper Wallstedt is expected to start after Filip Gustavsson, who made five consecutive starts and played in yesterday's loss to Carolina, will sit out tonight. Wallstedt, 23, has a season record of 1-0-2, with a 3.38 goals-against average and a .863 save percentage in 10 games this year.

Wallstedt has never faced the Islanders before, either last season or in his NHL career. Overall, he holds a 3-3-2 career record with a 3.34 goals-against average and a .863 save percentage.

New York Islanders Goaltending

The Islanders are playing the first game in a back-to-back. Head coach Patrick Roy confirmed that veteran David Rittich will start tonight, with Ilya Sorokin scheduled for Saturday.

Rittich, 33, is 3-1-0 this season through four games, with a 3.01 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. Although he did not face the Wild last year, he has had significant success against Minnesota in his career.

"Rittich is 5-0-1 against the Wild with a 2.11 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage, including one shutout in six career starts."
